Dia de los Muertos celebrated by the local community

ALBUQUERQUE, NM (KRQE) – More than two dozen vendors were brought back to life on Sunday. They presented their work at the “Dia de Los Muertos Community Celebration” event.

People flooded northern Albuquerque’s La Parada store and the Farm and Table restaurant on Sunday afternoon for the free event. Eager to see and even buy various handicrafts, jewelry, clothing and much more from the local vendors.

“I think it’s especially important now because we keep hearing about supply issues and things getting stuck on cargo ships, and there are local artists all over New Mexico who have nice work, music and food. The animals were blessed today and the weather was fine. You couldn’t ask for more, ”says saleswoman Jennifer Trujillo.

The organizers say they are grateful to everyone who made it on Sunday and hope that the event will be even bigger next year.
