“Junior Scientist: Rube Goldberg Challenge” winter camp kit to take away

Press release from the City of Las Cruces

The Museum of Nature & Science, 411 N. Main St., is offering a “Winter Break Camp” set to take away in December.

Kits are free but must be reserved by December 11th. To reserve kits, please contact [email protected] or call 575 / 522-3120. Sets are available while stocks last.

Rube Goldberg machines are chain reaction machines inspired by cartoonist Rube Goldberg, who drew elaborate, whimsical designs that made simple tasks too complicated. With the six activities on offer, one person creates their own unique Rube Goldberg machine. This take-away winter vacation camp set is fun for the whole family and best for kids ages 11-17.

The Museum of Nature & Science is open Tuesday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. The museum can be reached via RoadRUNNER Transit Route 1, Stop 1.
