No Santa Fe snow until after Christmas Day, forecast says | Local News

Albuquerque National Weather Service meteorologists are not predicting a snowflake in Santa Fe until Sunday.

At 3:40 p.m. on Thursday, the predictions showed that Christmas Day would likely remain partly sunny and in the 40s. After 11 p.m. there is a slight chance of rain

According to the forecast, Sunday can bring rain and snow showers before 11 a.m.

The National Weather Service predicts a higher chance of snow showers Monday and Tuesday nights, and Wednesday during the day.

In an early morning weather briefing on Christmas Eve, meteorologist Randall Hergert said there will likely be more windy, stormy conditions with less rainfall on Sunday. More strong winds are forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday.
