Community snapshot: Nusenda Credit Union employees and partners volunteered on Monday October 11 for a community day that filled bags with essentials, personal items and encouragement notes for local youth who were homeless or in the care system. Credit union employees across New Mexico supported not only the Las Cruces community, but also the Valencia County, Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Santa Fe, and Taos communities. They expect to help at least 1,000 young people through the project. The Las Cruces sacks were in front of the Pan Am branch of the credit union on E. University Ave. Filled in 1715 and given to the Jardin de Los Niños and Family and Youth, Inc. news.com.
