[1] Albuquerque group “BurqueLove NM” cleans the streets – A small group of friends walks through the streets of Albuquerque cleaning up a seemingly endless cycle of needles and garbage. They are called “Burquelove NM”. They go to various Albuquerque neighborhoods, parks, and trails where they spend a few hours cleaning every Sunday morning. The group plans to meet outside of Utah and the Indian School next Sunday.

[2] Opening statements begin in the trial of Mark Gooch – The trial of an airman accused of killing a Mennonite woman who lived near Farmington continues Monday. On Friday, Lily Petre took a stand when she was one of the first people in the community to notice that 27-year-old Sasha Krause was missing. Krause told Petre after dinner that January evening that she would go to church to get some books. Prosecutors say US aviator Mark Gooch kidnapped her there and drove her seven hours to Flagstaff, Arizona, killing her. Gooch is charged with first degree murder, kidnapping, and theft.
