The US Capitol Christmas tree makes its way through Albuquerque, NM

The US Capitol’s Christmas tree stopped in New Mexico on Veterans Day. A trailer with the massive silver fir from the Six Rivers National Forest in California stopped Thursday at the New Mexico Veterans Memorial on its 4,000 mile overland trip to Washington, DCThe 84 foot tall tree is adorned with more than 15,000 ornaments created by California students and volunteers were manufactured. A semi-trailer truck carrying the massive silver fir from the Six Rivers National Forest in California stopped at the New Mexico Veterans Memorial Thursday.

The tree named “Sugar Bear” is on its 4,000 mile overland journey to Washington, DC

The 84 foot tall tree is adorned with more than 15,000 ornaments by California students and volunteers.
