An early scoring chance for the home team proved the difference on Sunday at Johann Memorial Field when the NM State women’s football team (4-3) dropped a 1-0 decision against UNLV (6-2) in non-conference action .

6 ‘| A penalty made it the only goal of the game. UNLV’s Taylie Liddell was fouled by the Aggies and had to attempt a penalty. Liddell’s shot sailed past NM State goalkeeper Makenna Gottschalk, giving the Rebels the goal they needed to win the day.
