A non-conference slate of 11 games, including potentially three against New Mexico State, awaits the UTEP men’s basketball team in the 2022-23 season.
The schedule, which includes games at Texas and De Paul, was formally released Monday.
UTEP will open at the University of Texas on Nov. 7 in the first regular-season basketball game at the new Moody Center.
The Miners will play New Mexico State at home on Nov. 12, in Las Cruces on Nov. 30 and potentially could face the Aggies in the WestStar Don Haskins Sun Bowl Invitational on Dec. 22 if the Miners and Aggies match results the previous day.
UTEP is also hosting a “multi-team event” around Thanksgiving, as it will play Cal State Bakersfield, Alcorn State and Texas A&M Corpus Christi in the Don Haskins Center on Nov. 22, 23 and 25, respectively.
The other highlight of the non-conference schedule is a trip to De Paul on Dec. 10. The 20-game Conference USA schedule, in the form of a double round robin, begins Dec. 17 at home against Louisiana Tech.
