GLADE SPRING, Virginia – At around 7pm on June 22nd, brothers Campbell and Reid Buchanan and their cousin Connor Buchanan set up their motorcycles for the Pacific Ocean, signaling the end of a nearly month-long adventure on the bucket list.

With loud cheers and arms raised, the boys had made it.

The bikers completed more than 6,000 miles of the TransAmerica Trail from their homes in Southwest Virginia to Port Orford, Oregon, all from the seats of their adventure bikes.

The dirt road consists of gravel, gravel, forest and farms with short stretches of paved roads.

Her cross-country route – her physical adventure lasted 22 days – went through 14 states along some of the harshest terrain and challenging conditions. They experienced grueling hot temperatures, torrential rains, dust, mud, and even some mechanical problems while experiencing some of the most incredible landscapes in the country.

Campbell, 22, Reid, 18, and Connor, 22, saw the natural landscape from the seat of a motorcycle and said their trip had been “a dream for a long time”.

This summer was the perfect time to turn their dream into a reality, said Glade Spring residents.

They have been riding motorcycles since they were old enough to swing their legs over the seats.
